MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

RE: Agreement to expand the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW), a program of Global Interactions, a United States 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, to_(LOCATION) in cooperation with the (UNIVERSITY).

Terms and Conditions
Subject to the agreement between said parties Global Interactions and _(UNIVERSITY)_will initiate the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) program with _(UNIVERSITY) as the regional hub for the World Academy programs in _(LOCATION). Organization and development work will begin on _(DATE), to launch a full program which will commence no later than (DATE).

Global Interactions and __(UNIVERSITY)__ agree to provide the following in preparation for the first 12 month WAFW program:

1. With guidance and council from Global Interactions and _(UNIVERSITY), a (PERSON IN CHARGE) designee will be assigned to oversee the_(UNIVERSITY)_WAFW program and a Global Interactions designee will be assigned to collaborate and communicate regarding scheduling, curriculum and facilitators.

2. Global Interactions will recruit and train a minimum of 8 WAFW facilitators who will each come to _(UNIVERSITY)_ for 5 weeks during the universities academy year to
deliver a 4-week (four one-week modules) WAFW leadership curriculum at no cost to _(UNIVERSITY)_ or student members.

3. Adapting criteria utilized in the selection of WAFW members in other countries, (PERSON NAME) in cooperation with Global Interactions and WAFW representatives,
will recruit and select 100 -125 women participants between 18-25. Participants must have English proficiency and be committed to being leaders who take action to achieve
the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). (In the second year of the WAFW program, the parties may consider an Advanced Academy year for WAF members who have successfully completed year one of the World Academy, as well as a Men’s Academy for the Future of Women, enrolling male students to support the
advancement of women.)

4. (UNIVERSITY) will provide facility space for the following:
 Weekly seminar (CONTENT) training (2 hours per day, Monday – Friday)
 Lab space (APPLICATION – bringing content to action) (4 90-minute sessions per week)
 Coaching (CLARIFICATION and REFINEMENT) in which WAFW members will meet and work on skill development (4-6 one-hour sessions per week)
 Weekly Open Forums – for WAFW members and open to any non-member to attend and learn WAFW leadership content (90 minutes 4 times, (one per week).
 WAFW Office space for facilitators and members with access to WIFI, computer and printer.

5. (UNIVERSITY) will provide arrival and departure transportation from airport and to and from training sites plus housing and meals for WAFW Facilitators at no cost to WAFW facilitators.

6. The WAFW, with modifications recommended by (PERSON), will provide all curricula modules for the training program. The program will focus on the urgency of accelerating women’s leadership by having women discover their purpose, passion and their path to success through 8 WAFW leadership modules and member designed projects focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They will concentrate on social justice, human dignity and gender equality and the skill sets required to address the 17 SDG’s, including eradicating poverty and hunger, ensuring universal primary education, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health,
combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other chronic diseases, ensuring environmental sustainability, and implementing global partnerships for development. The modules may need to be translated to meet the language proficiency of the Academy members, if necessary. (PERSON) will advise and assist if this is needed.

7. _(PERSON) will inform WAFW Facilitators regarding culture and issues of social justice, human dignity and gender equality in (UNIVERSITY GEOGRAPHIC AREA) prior to the start of the World Academy program.

8. The WAFW will design and develop strategies for program delivery in cooperation and with the approval of _(PERSON)_.

9. Global Interactions and _(UNIVERSITY OR PERSON)_ will collaborate on strategies for expanding the World Academy to other university students and eligible women in the _(LOCATION)_ region.

A signed Memorandum of Understanding approving Items 1-9 will represent a formal agreement between Global Interactions, the World Academy for the Future of Women, and _(UNIVERSITY)_ and will designate the official start of the World Academy for the Future of Women in _(DATE)_.
