Annual Women’s Symposium

Each year an Annual Women’s Symposium is held at the Sias campus, bringing together thousands of women from across the globe in a powerful exchange of ideas and wisdom. The 2014  Annual Women’s Symposium was a major event in which most of the Academy members and the visiting facilitators participated. In addition to the keynote speech by David Schoch, the Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motors Asia, other keynote speakers included Martha Burk, the founder of the National Council of Women’s Organizations, a political pyschologist and women’s issues expert who has devoted her career to improving the economic, social, and political progress of women around the world, the Director of UN Women, Julia Broussard, Rachel Hanfling, an EMMY-nominated TV producer, and Zhang Huaying, the Vice-President of Sustainability, Coca-Cola China.
