Dr. Manuel Guillot

Vice President for Global Education Initiatives

Dr. Manuel Guillot is Vice President for Global Education Initiatives at the World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW). He is an educator, thought-leader, strategist, and advocate for global citizenship education. For over 20 years he has worked in leadership development in underserved, diverse communities in the United States and internationally.

Based in Paris, Dr. Guillot worked in world community development throughout Europe and India for the Institute for Cultural Affairs International, an NGO with U.N. consultative status.

Dr. Guillot has also advocated for the socio-economic needs of underserved communities through legislation and public policy in his role as Vice President for Public Policy and Community Education at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), as Chief of Staff to Illinois State Senator Miguel del Valle, and, more recently, as Director of the Office of School, Family and Community Partnerships for the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD).  Dr. Guillot holds a doctorate in Global and International Education. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese and conversant in Russian.
