Cyd West, Board Chair, is an experienced health care leader who directs the Strong Heart Study in Arizona as part of a national consortium of scientists and researchers devoted to improving the cardiovascular health and quality of life of American Indians. A member of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma, Cyd is active in the AI community’s efforts to protect sovereignty and promote rediscovery of traditions and beliefs.  Her 13 years with the World Academy highlight her commitment to women’s issues and the belief that engagement and education are critical support the women leaders of today and tomorrow throughout the world.
