Sias was founded in 1998 by Chinese-American businessman Shawn Chen who had the aim of bringing an American liberal arts-styled education to China. Combining Chinese and Western educational philosophies, Sias developed sophisticated and specialized talents that has made contributions to the modernization and economic development of China. Sias has aimed to achieve this aim, through a modern and international campus, a visionary curriculum and diverse campus activities. Sias has received many awards by related state institutions and news media, including the "Top 10 Most Influential Foreign-owned Undergraduate Universities in China Award", "The Most Competitive University on Employment in China", "The Strongest Comprehensive Sino-Foreign Cooperative University", and "The Most Desirable University for High School Graduates Award"

Orchid International College (OIC) affiliated to Tribhuvan University, was established in 2010 AD and promoted by a group of experienced and dedicated academicians, computer engineers, management professionals and reputed software company of Nepal.
