Be a Volunteer / Intern

Persons who are not available to become facilitators or mentors yet wish to engage in contributing to the World Academy for the Future of Women program may consider participating as a volunteer or intern. There are numerous ways to be a volunteer or intern by serving with Global Interactions, the non-profit NGO headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, under which the World Academy is organized. Volunteers or interns are recruited from around the world.

Volunteers can offer internships to World Academy members, solicit resources or funds for the operation of the World Academy or generate a special program they choose to operate that would expand the impact and the ability to accelerate women’s leadership.

This website construction and design was contributed by a volunteer who offered to upgrade and update the previous website. Another volunteer found interns for WAFW members during winter and summer breaks, others offered housing for interns during travel, and have written curriculum modules for inclusion in the program.

We always inquire, “What would you like to offer?” and have been surprised at the generosity and imaginative opportunities they have generated. Scholarships to programs, visits to cities for cultural growth and career development, assistance in finding advanced study sites, and access to their network to seek assistance on a special class or research project are among the many extraordinary contributions from volunteers.

Volunteers find new locations for establishing the World Academy in universities for expansion. Volunteers have opened their networks and their organizations to knowing more about the World Academy and engaging in projects with members. Volunteers have submitted papers and attended and presented at the Annual Women’s Symposium in China on Sias University campus each May.

The possibilities for new and extraordinary volunteer experiences or internships are infinite. Send ideas for volunteer contributions, for supporting through an internship, or for a new idea that will forward and accelerate the work of the World Academy to prepare women for leadership roles worldwide!
